Paul Wong is a Hong Kong singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and former member of the influential rock band Beyond. Born Wong Koon-chung, he joined Beyond in 1985 and became one of the key musicians behind the band’s Cantonese rock sound before launching a solo career after the group’s later years. His work spans Hong Kong rock, Cantopop, Mandopop, and guitar-driven pop rock, with solo releases including Yellow Paul Wong, Black White, Existence, and Paul Wong Collection, and he remains a respected figure in Chinese-language rock.
