The Boxmasters are an American rock and roll band from Southern California formed by Billy Bob Thornton and J.D. Andrew in 2006. Known for a “modbilly” sound that blends 1960s British Invasion pop, rock and roll, country, rockabilly, Americana, and Bakersfield-style roots music, the band draws from influences including The Beatles, The Byrds, The Beach Boys, Big Star, John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, and The Allman Brothers. Their catalog includes albums such as The Boxmasters, Somewhere Down the Road, Speck, Light Rays, Help… I’m Alive, Love & Hate in Desperate Places, Pepper Tree Hill, and songs including “Cloud Nine,” “Fall Into Me,” “Light a Candle,” and “Don’t Count the Days.”
